FULHAM hope to wrap up the permanent signing of Pavel Pogrebnyak in the next seven days.
The Russian striker has been a big hit at Craven Cottage since joining on a short-term deal from Stuttgart in January, scoring six goals in 10 games for the Whites.
Aston Villa have also been linked with Pog, but Fulham boss Martin Jol has revealed he is close to agreeing a two-year deal with the frontman.
He said: “We are talking to him and hopefully we can get an agreement with him in the next week or so.”
