Slavisa Jokanovic is having a long hard think on where best to use Tim Ream ahead of tonight’s match at Molineux.

The USA international was bought as a centre back in the summer, with Fulham reportedly paying Bolton close to £2 million and pipping QPR for his services.

But since the return of James Husband to parent club Middlesbrough at the beginning of December, Ream has shifted to the left of defence ahead of loanee number two Luke Garbutt.

Fans are divided on how good Ream has been at left-back, and his manager is likewise pondering the next move for the 28-year-old.

“We can occupy (the spot) with Tim and Luke Garbutt,” said Jokanovic.

“I am completely agreed he can play left or centre back. But now it’s my work to find more benefits (for the team).

“This is not chess, and I understand what you’re saying but I need to find the best solutions.”

Currently in Ream’s central spot is Dan Burn coveted by Sheffield United. But with Fulham under a transfer embargo, any departure will be decided by new loans arriving at the Cottage.
