Slavisa Jokanovic apologised for Fulham's part in a touchline scrap in the last few second of the pulsating 1-1 draw with QPR.

Players and coaching staff pushed and shoved that culminated in Rs assistant boss Marc Bircham sent to the stands, waving to the crowd as he went.

However, the Whites head coach was less than pleased with the bumpy Loftus Road pitch that restricted his side's expansive passing game.

He said: "It's nothing, and I apologise for my side. I wanted to clear my dugout - it's part of the game and it's a derby. I simply defended my few square metres.

"And QPR benefited because we didn't play the last seven or eight minutes.

Save! Alex Smithies (C) denies Chris Martin (L)

"This kind of the field where we couldn't move it one side or the other. it was prepared for them rather than us. We couldn't be comfortable with the ball.

"We made one mistake, and it was a goal."

Rangers scored as Kevin McDonald slipped and Ryan Manning capitalised - and this after Chris Martin saw his penalty saved by Rs keeper Alex Smithies.

"In the future, Chris Martin will take the responsibility (for penalties)," Jokanovic added. " I am sure he's the guy with enough personality to take it next time."
