MARTIN Jol is staying tight-lipped around speculation linking him with a January swoop for Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac .

The French international was close to moving to Craven Cottage in the summer, only for the deal to fall through at the eleventh hour.

However, the 25-year-old has had a bust-up with boss Didier Deschamps and is stuck in the Marseille reserves.

But Fulham manager Jol refused to confirm his interest in the hitman.

He said: "Of course we always look to improve the squad and that is what we try to do, but I don't want to mention names."
