Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic was pleased with the reaction of his players in the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest - three days after a 4-0 home humbling by Bristol City.

Tom Cairney rescued a point for the Londoners at the City Ground with a 72nd-minute equaliser after Nicklas Bendtner had opened his account on the hour-mark for the Reds.

It still stretched Fulham's winless run to six matches - the same as Forest - but Jokanovic took heart from the display after the Cottagers dug deep to earn a draw while they could have won it late on as Chris Martin was twice denied by Vladimir Stojkovic.

"My team showed a reaction after the embarrassing game against Bristol City but I am disappointed we didn't score a second and win the game," said Jokianovic. "We created enough chances to have won the game but if we stay calm then the goals will come.

"The whole team played well, we all worked together and created plenty of chances and there is improvement to come."

Asked if he felt under pressure following a sixth game without a victory, Jokanovic added: "No, I don't.

"We have to be confident on the ball and be organised. Our one big problem is at home, when we don't have the ball, but we did that very well. Our movement was very good. We have to follow this up now."

Bendtner struck the bar after seven minutes with a piledriver and then saw an effort kept out by David Button before finally opening his Forest account with a well-taken effort after an hour.

Fulham levelled 12 minutes later when Forest failed to clear their lines and Cairney rammed the ball home after Denis Odoi's cross ballooned up into the air and fell nicely for the former Blackburn man.
