MARTIN Jol believes his Fulham side were denied a penalty at the death in their narrow defeat to Manchester United.
Jol felt the Cottagers should have been awarded a spot-kick and a chance to snatch a share of the points when Michael Carrick brought down Danny Murphy .
But with the Red Devils leading by a single Wayne Rooney goal, and just seconds remaining at Old Trafford, referee Michael Oliver waved away the Whites’ protests.
“I feel it was a difficult decision, it always is for a penalty,” said Jol.
“I think you should send Michael Carrick off and I think everyone in the stadium was expecting it.
“I've seen it many times before, you have to be brave to give a penalty at Man United and that’s the only disappointment we’ve got.”
