Fulham boss Felix Magath has been keeping an eye on young striker Marcello Trotta in training this week.
The Italian under-21 international scored 13 goals in 40 games during a successful season-long loan spell with Brentford as the Bees won promotion to the Championship.
Griffin Park chief Mark Warburton wants to sign Trotta, who still has 12 months remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage, on a permanent basis.
However, the former Napoli youngster was back training at Fulham's Motspur Park headquarters this week after his loan spell in TW8 came to an end.
It is the first glimpse Magath has had of the 21-year-old, who could be handed a place in the squad for Sunday's game against Crystal Palace.
