It wasn't the best of first halves for the home side as Preston got in their faces and got themselves into a two-goal lead through Jordan Hugill and Sean Maguire, with things not looking good for Fulham.
However, Tom Cairney was introduced in the second half and Fulham rallied, getting back into the tie through Oliver Norwood's penalty after Rui Fonte went down, before Denis Odoi's first time strike in the 96th minute gave his side a point.
