Barnet defender Bondz N'Gala has agreed a new one-year extension with the option of a further year at The Hive.

The 26-year-old joined the club in 2014 and helped the Bees win promotion back to the Football League.

The former West Ham and Portsmouth defender was also part of a side who reached the club's highest points tally in eight years.

And N'Gala is looking for further improvement as Barnet look to climb the League Two table.

He said: “I’m pleased to have extended my stay at The Hive. Barnet are a club that I hold very close to my heart, and I’ve really enjoyed my two years so far.

“I’ve got a great relationship with the fans, the manager (Martin Allen) and the chairman. They’ve got faith in me, which played a massive part in my decision to stay.

“We achieved the highest points tally that the club has managed since 2007-08 last season, so we definitely want to push on and improve on that now.

“The support and faith that the manager has shown me in the last couple of years has been fantastic. He’s helped me with my development as a player and there is definitely more to come from me next season.”
