BRENTFORD midfielder Jonathan Douglas made a successful return from injury in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Crawley Town this afternoon.
The Irishman hasn't featured since the play-offs in May after struggling with a knee problem towards the end of last season.
Douglas went under the knife in June that ruled him out of the entrie pre-season and the start of the campaign, but returned to full training earlier this month.
And the 31-year-old stepped up his recovery with a run out against Crawley - his first appearance in four months - as he closes in on a first-team comeback.
