AFC Wimbledon are boosted by the return of Harry Pell for Saturday's clash at Scunthope.

The Dons star missed last weekend's home defeat to Torquay through illness, but the midfielder is back in contention for the trip to Glanford Park.

Wimbledon captain Alan Bennett is also available after coming through training unscathed this week, but Jim Fenlon (suspended) misses out as he serves the second of a three-match ban.

Chris Arthur is pushing for a start after impressing for the reserves in midweek, although he may have to settle for a place on the bench as he continues to build up his fitness after injury.

Dons take on a Scunthorpe side that have shot to the top of League Two following a nine-game unbeaten run.

However, Ardley insists his men, who gave won just two of their last 10, won't shut-up shop.

He told Dons Player: “We can be scared of these games or we can approach them in the old Wimbledon way and say ‘let’s go out there and work incredibly hard and see what we can get from it’.

"They are on a great run, but we have to make sure that they don’t work harder than us. We cannot be worried about them and what they bring to the table. We have to play our own game and try and win the match."
