DJ CAMPBELL is adamant QPR has a better chance of staying up than Blackpool.

The West Londoner (pic) came home in the summer on the end of a £1.25millon switch from relegated Tangerines – and reckons the side he’s supported all his life has more quality in depth.

The striker was stricken with a mystery virus over the last three weeks, and joked he barely lasted the 15 minutes as sub in the 0-0 draw over Newcastle on Monday night – never mind the whole 90.

“But I’m getting back to full training,” he added, “and I should be back up to speed over the next week.

“We were unlucky not get all three points against Newcastle. But this QPR squad has Premiership players that have been there and done it.

“When I was at Blackpool, I was the only one who had been in the Prem before.

“We’re talking two different teams, and nothing should be taken away from Blackpool and what they achieved – and I’m not sure that could happen again.

“But this time his time around with Tony (Fernandes, QPR chairman) having spent money, the quality is better.”
