It may have been a mixed start to the season for QPR, but one man in particular has certainly excelled.

Luke Freeman has taken many of the plaudits so far this term, chipping in with both goals and assists, while also fulfilling his wider responsibilities for the team.

According to sports statistic website whoscored.com, Freeman leads the charts in a number of areas; a remarkable achievement considering the modest transfer fee of £350k which it cost to bring the midfielder from Bristol City in January.

The former-Bristol City midfielder was charted as the league's top performer in terms of shots (25) and key passes (18), showcasing how effective Freeman has been in the final third this term.

As well as this, Freeman clocked up 16 successful dribbles through September, the second highest in the league.

His label as favourite for the PFA Fans player of the month award for September comes after an excellent run of form, with Freeman excelling with two goals and one assist through the month, including top displays against Milwall and Barnsley.

This led Whoscored.com to give him an average rating of 7.78 (out of 10), the highest of any player in the Championship.

With this in mind Freeman is sure to be a front-runner for the PFA award, and the task now will be to ensure that he can maintain this form, while also leading his team to more victories in the league.
