BOSS Neil Warnock is forced to restore Matthew Connolly to the starting XI for tomorrow's clash at Loftus Road.

The former Arsenal defender was dropped from the squad for Tuesday night's defeat at Millwall after a poor performance in the win against Leicester 72 hours earlier.

But with Danny Shittu suspended and Fitz Hall still struggling with a hamstring problem, Connolly is set to return to partner Kaspars Gorkss in the centre of defence.

Warnock is unlikely to ring the changes despite the 2-0 reverse at the Den, but Tommy Smith could be handed a start after his comeback from a hamstring problem.

Jamie Mackie, Patrick Agyemang and Peter Ramage are still sidelined.
