Brentford FC goal hero Dean Bowditch has revealed he wants to stay at Griffin Park.

The on-loan Ipswich striker was due to return to Portman Road this week when his loan spell ended after Saturday's game at Lincoln, where he scored a spectacular goal.

But he is keen to extend his loan at Griffin Park if the two clubs can come to an agreement.

He said: "I'll have a chat with the gaffer and with Ipswich this week and see what happens, but I'd like to stay.

"If I'm not playing at Ipswich, and with things going so well here, there's no reason why I'd want to return."

Meanwhile, Marcus Bean, who scored Brentford's other goal in the 2-2 draw at Lincoln, has been voted League Two Player-of-the-Month.
