HARRY Crawford has promised Barnet fans another three points this weekend after his first goal of the season secured a dramatic victory over Hyde on Saturday.

The former Southend United and Dartford striker came off the bench and scored three minutes after his introduction, rifling the ball home from just outside the box to clinch a 3-2 win.

Off the mark for the campaign, super-sub Crawford is sure the Bees can improve at Halifax as Edgar Davids’ side look to knock Cambridge United off top spot in the Conference Premier.

He said: “We all know that, and we know we can play a lot better than what we did [against Hyde]. We’ll work hard this week.

“We’ll look to have a better performance and another three points on Saturday against Halifax.

“Hopefully I’ll be on the starting sheet and get another goal, and push on: it’s important we keep winning and getting points on the board.”

Crawford spent pre-season struggling with injury but the the Bees man reckons he is getting back to his best after some hard work on the Hive training pitches.

He added: “I took an injury in pre-season, so I’ve been focusing on getting fit and working my way back into the team.

“I feel fit, I feel strong. Hopefully I’ll get some more minutes on the pitch and get some match fitness, and then kick on from that.

“We’ve had a good month. It is important to be up-and-around the top two, and keep on winning and looking in front of you instead of behind.”
