Sergi Canos has admitted he could never play for a team that sits back, defends and fails to play good football.

The Brentford winger had a good first half against Barnsley on Saturday, with the Bees putting on an attractive display.

Brentford continued to dominate the second period, with the visitors having a decent ten minute spell - but the hosts should have been well on their way to victory.

Barnsley failed to really have a go at Brentford and played a defensive game for the large majority.

And Canos says he and his team-mates have to take their chances moving forward.

"It is hard playing against teams who defend, but we have to deal with it," he said, speaking post-match.

"There are a lot of teams who come to our place and don't want to play, they just go with a 4-4-1-1 formation and we have to deal with it.

"It's why we train every day but (on Saturday) it didn't come off.

"I wouldn't want to play in a team that plays like that, I would definitely rather play in my team 100 times.

"We have to be better in the final decisions and take our chances, because everything is fine and we will try to improve that in the next game."
