KEEPER Rob Dawson struck both goals from the penalty spot up the other end as Chiswick Albion sneaked through to the Harry Edmondson Premier Cup semi-finals on Sunday.

Dawson ran up the pitch to bag his first spot kick after 20 minutes when Liam O'Neill was brought down in the box by a Brentford Town Sunday defender.

And he repeated the trick just before half-time after Nicky Wozniak was this time tripped in the box.

Brentford pulled back a late goal, but Albion held on to win 2-1.

* A SEMI-FINAL place in the Ace Awards Cup slipped from Chiswick Griffin's grasp on Sunday as they let a 2-0 lead slip to lose 7-4 at Acton.

Gabs Jones gave Griffin the lead from Michael Dermott's pass, and Mark Hartnett doubled it when he cut in from the right to finish.

A dodgy offside decision and a questionable penalty let Acton back in to level matters at half-time, but Ryan Russell set up Hartnett to put Griffin back in front with 20 minutes left.

However, Acton were level again within a minute, then added two more to seemingly kill off the game.

Russell gave Griffin hope when he pulled it back to 5-4 by cooly chipping the keeper from the edge of the area, but two more Acton goals did kill it off this time.

* BEN BUZZARD gave Bedfont Sunday the lead in their West Middlesex Sunday League Premier clash with leaders Draytonians, but they went on to lose 2-1.

But Bedfont Sunday A are celebrating a Middlesex County FA Sunday Junior Trophy Final place after beating Larkspur Rovers 3-1 in the semi-final.
