Diego Costa could be back in action for Chelsea by the trip to Leicester City at the end of the month.

The 20-goal striker, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, is Blues boss Jose Mourinho's only injury concern going into Sunday's west London derby against QPR.

But Mourinho still expects his top scorer to play a part in the last knockings of Chelsea's title charge.

He said: “Only Diego is injured. Everybody it fit and ready, (including) Mikel. Fabregas is in a mask but is ready too.

“Certain, for sure (that Costa will play again this season). We have eight matches to play. If he plays four, it is normal. If he plays three, it is below what I'm expecting. If he plays five, it's more than I'm expecting.”

Mourinho also insists he will start with Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic at Loftus Road, despite both midfielders being just one booking away from a ban which would see them sit out key games against Arsenal and Manchester United.

He said: “They will both start. Always the same, we try not to get yellow cards, we try to play football. In the last game our opponents made 22 fouls, we made five, and it's been the same throughout the season.

“It's a three points game. We need points and we need victories. We can't choose matches, it makes no sense to do it with some matches and not others. We will always play with our maximum powers.

“We need to win five (to win the title) or win four and draw two, and any point against QPR will see out situation improved.”
