Jose Mourinho will be hoping to put this week's woes behind him with a win over Tim Sherwood's men this weekend.

The Chelsea manager was in defiant mood as he addressed the media ahead of Saturday's key clash.

Here's five points Sean Davies took from Jose's press conference.

Mourinho for England?

The Special one refused to rule out becoming the England manager, despite his dispute with the FA.

Once again Mourinho is in deep water with the FA but won’t let his souring relationship prevent him from taking a job he has shown interest in several times.

In 2007 the Blues boss famously let his wife talk him out of taking the England job when he had his eyes set on succeeding Steve McClaren, but she convinced him that he would quickly bore of international football.

Today he was asked if he would let his relationship with the FA prevent him from managing the national team.

He said: “for me, English football and English football fans, the English passion for the game, what makes me like so much this country and the football in this country, is not the FA.

It's the people. If, one day, I have to work for that people, I will.”

No signs of player unrest

Much has been made in recent weeks of a mutiny going on within the Chelsea dressing room, with many members of the press claiming players are unhappy with Mourinho’s choice to criticise them in front of the whole team.

The Blues boss once again denied these claims stating that all his players enjoy being together and believes there is a good atmosphere around Cobham and Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho was also certain that his players enjoyed the international break and representing their countries, although he claimed that none of them performed better for their national side than they do for Chelsea week in week out.

He said: “The players are not unhappy when they are together.

"The international break is neither good nor bad. When players have the chance to go, they enjoy it, and it is a positive experience.

“I watched all of the games my players are involved in. None of my players were better with their international teams than they were with us."

Will Chelsea still make the top four?

Aston Villa will improve

Tim Sherwood’s side currently sit 18th and only have four points from their opening eight games.

But, Mourinho believes that their performances will improve as the season goes on and will subsequently climb the table.

He took the opportunity to compare the midlands side to Chelsea, claiming both teams will not finish in their current league positions.

"They are a good team with some good players, and they are not getting the best results but the manager is trying to rebuild them having lost two very important players.

"Like I do not believe Chelsea will be in the position in a couple of months, I do not believe Villa will be either.”

Chelsea have no fear factor

Teams are no longer scared of Chelsea and travel to Stamford Bridge with the belief that they can get a result.

The Bridge used to be considered a fortress in the Premier League under Mourinho but his side have already lost to both Crystal Palace and Southampton at home this season.

Mourinho’s Chelsea went 78 league games unbeaten at Stamford Bridge but this record is a distant memory after recent performances.

He said: “Now teams come to Stamford Bridge and think that they can get a result, and that is something we need to work on.”

Every game is a must-win

Mourinho made it clear that nothing less than three points is acceptable for the Blues in every fixture.

The Chelsea chief highlighted that there is nowhere to hide from the league table, which sees Chelsea sit in an unsatisfactory 16th place with just eight points from eight games.

Despite his side's current position, Mourinho is still confident that their form will improve and we will soon see them at the top end of the league rather than hovering above the relegation places.

He said: “Every game is a must-win game for different reasons. When we don’t win it is always a disappointment. A frustration. Every game is a must win.

"We cannot run away from the reality of the table in the Premier League.

"We won’t be relegated and in a couple of months we will be in a position where we normally have to be."
