If you had said that Victor Moses would be a regular starter for Chelsea and one of the key components of Antonio Conte's 3-5-2 system in the summer, you'd have been laughed at.

However, that is what has transpired with the Nigerian, better known as a forward player, taking up the mantle as right wing back.

Since joining Chelsea in 2012, Moses has made 31 appearances in the Premier League; 23 of those were in his first season at the club.

He spent the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons out on loan at Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham and it was expected either a permanent move or another temporary switch was going to be the order of the day.

Antonio Conte

However, Antonio Conte put faith in the 25-year-old and he has been rewarded.

Chelsea have not been a side willing to give young players much of a chance in the past decade so to see a player go from one looking as if he is headed for the exit door to important first team player will be encouraging for the current loan army.

Indeed, Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ola Aina have all been given a chance in the first team this season.

Their impact has not been the same as Moses at this stage in the season but they will now surely believe their time will come.
