CHELSEA are expected to name their new boss inside the next two weeks, with players willing the club to get the coaching succession agreed as early as possible.

Preferred candidate Jose Mourinho  will leave his existing position at Real Madrid after Saturday's final-day La Liga match at home to Osasuna.

The precise date upon which he is released from his contract with the Spanish side is unclear – though both club and coach seem keen on a quick divorce.

Chelsea have already moved to ensure there is a job for him to walk into, releasing 'interim' boss Rafael Benitez from his contract following the two-date tour of the USA to enable him to move to Serie A side Napoli.

Petr Cech's was among the loudest voices as the Premier League season ended calling for the club to get it's regular summer management switch completed early for the good of preparation for the next campaign.

Chelsea have tended to appoint managers around the second week of June – though Andre Villas-Boas came later than this, with Blues executives waiting on other candidates.
