SPORTSMAN'S LEAGUE ROUND-UP

CHELSEA TOWN have to wait three weeks for their last game of the season in the Senior Amateur Division - but insist they won't get nervous as they hang around for the title decider.

A final win against Golden Eagles on April 26 will do the trick and Harry Ball, Mickey Mcrickus and Limo Mann cleared a place for their medals with a 3-0 win over Waltaro Wasteels on Sunday.

OLD SUFFOLK PUNCH found Kensington Athletic a tougher nut than they anticipated in the Senior Amateur Reserve.

The side from the Hammersmith pub were expected to take the hapless Kensington to the cleaners, but in the end inched home only 3-1.

In fact, John Began's lob put bottom side Kenny ahead, before Luke Percy levelled from the spot and sub Devon Annal struck twice to ease home fears.

FULHAM UNITED had no worries as they cantered to a 4-0 home win against Bombarallense in the same division. A Robert Baxter header, two from Larry Paxton and a Gary Tyson strike did the damage.

EEL BROOK RANGERS grabbed a lifeline with a 2-0 win over Red Star United in Division Three. Rangers from Fulham are at the wrong end of the table but after Andrea

Maniscalco ran through to put his side ahead, the midfielder made sure of the points before half-time with a curling shot that went in off a post.

By contrast RBL FULHAM are galloping up the rails of Division Three and they are now confident of lifting the title.

They thumped Worcester Park 7-0 away, and almost as good was the news that leaders Bec were beaten 3-1 by London Eagles.

With three games in hand and only five points behind, RBL's Ian McMinn fancies their chances of making it to the top.

He said: "The double-header on April 19 against Invictus who are struggling, should give us a pretty good clue."

McMinn himself, Frank Angus and a finely taken header by Adam Andrews were the pick of the goals against Worcester Park.
