GARY Cahill says his Chelsea team-mates are desperate for Champions League hero Didier Drogba to stay at the club.

Drogba, scorer of both the Blues equaliser and winning penalty in Munich, is out of contract and strongly rumoured to be on his way out of Stamford Bridge after eight years with the club.

But Cahill said: “I think every player involved in the football club hopes that he stays but he's obviously got his own decisions to make.

“What he's achieved (personally) and what he's achieved for this football club - I don’t think anyone can knock it.

“It’s befitting he took the penalty that's won us the cup. He got us back in the game late doors and like I said he does seem to turn up in these big games. That's the kind of player he is.”
