Tomas Kalas believes he is the fittest he has ever been after spending most of the summer at Chelsea before returning on loan to Fulham , and now he's ready to get promoted.

The 24-year-old returned on a season-long loan having spent the entire of last year on loan at the Cottage, helping the club get to the Play-offs.

It was no surprise that the Czech international returned to the club, having spent the summer liking Instagram posts galore, and having trained with Chelsea's first team for most of the season he is ready to take what he learnt with the English champions and transfer that to Fulham.

He said: "I was fighting to get back to Fulham, it wasn't easy as there were other options too but in terms of this league I didn't want to go anywhere else and that is why I'm here.

"Certainly, in terms of fitness, I'm the fittest I've ever been sop in terms of that it was great and training with these players is always a lesson for me so I'm thankful for that and at the end I'm pleased that I went to China and Singapore because I was learning everyday.

"At the end of the day it's about playing time and I knew that I would get it at Fulham.

"I got fit and gained some experience from Antonio Conte and his methods and training so I've learned a few things, I won't say what, but I will remember them and use it in the future.

"I wouldn't like to join a team that isn't going to have the highest ambitions so I know what we've done, we've got a stronger team - if you give us time so we're going to be competitive and I think we've learnt our lesson last season and what we were missing and hopefully we use it now this season.

If we play as we played and it doesn't work then fair enough, we need to changer something but we don't need to change anything at the moment - it worked last season and now we we will see."
