Chelsea is the place for Eden Hazard to stay, says Jose Mourinho after the Belgian's wonder-strike at Hull.
Hazard opened the scoring at the KC Stadium with a goal to showcase his skill and talent, in a week when speculation had linked him with a big-money move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking after Chelsea's 2-0 win had taken them top of the table, Mourinho said: “Eden has been playing well for a long time. We made a big investment to bring him from France last year.
"Chelsea trusts him and he is no longer a talented kid, he is more than that - a player who feels and accepts the responsibility that been a team player is more important than just being a talented player.
“And he is doing all this without losing any of his fantastic ability. The kid is in a very good moment of his career.
"He knows that Chelsea is a fantastic club for him."
But Mourinho again stoked-up his classic us-and-them mentality by claiming that Hazard, beloved of Chelsea fans, did not have such unquestioning support with the powers that be.
"Let's see if the Premier League give him player of the month award,” he said. “Perhaps they don't like to come to Cobham.
"The kid is waiting and the trophy is not arriving."
