CHELSEA have had a second bid rejected for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney.
The Blues lodged an improved offer in the region of £25million plus add-ons for the 27-year-old, only to be told the England international is not for sale.
Rooney is understood to be keen to leave Old Trafford, with Stamford Bridge his preferred destination.
However, the forward is expected to travel to Sweden with the rest of the United squad today for a pre-season friendly against AIK.
David Moyes insists Rooney will remain with the Reds, but Chelsea counterpart Jose Mourinho is determined to sign the former Everton frontman.
