Chelsea have sacked manager Luis Felipe Scolari.

The Brazilian, a World Cup winner in 2002, was under pressure after his team's inept showing in recent weeks, which culminated in a hugely disappointing 0-0 draw with Hull at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Many fans chanted that he did not know what he was doing and a banner was unfurled telling him to go and proclaiming support for Chelsea legends Gianfranco Zola and Roberto Di Matteo, who are both doing well in club management elsewhere.

Scolari only took over from Avram Grant in the summer and in spite of a thrilling start, he has failed to arrest a fall in standards that has seen the Blues drop off the pace in the title race and confidence eroded.
