CHELSEA have given QPR permission to speak to Alex over a possible move to Loftus Road.
Rangers are desperate to bolster their backline in the January transfer window, and see the Brazilian centre-back as the man to shore up their leaky defence.
The 29-year-old is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and is expected to leave SW6 in the January transfer window.
