CARLO Ancelotti insists his side must improve in front of goal if they have any chance of winning the Champions League.

The Blues were held to a frustrating goalless draw at Stamford Bridge , but still secured a spot in the last eight with a 2-0 aggregate win against FC Copenhagen.

Chelsea had 25 shots on goal – of which only seven were on target – as they failed to find a breakthrough.

And the Chelsea chief admits his troops must be more clinical in the last third if they are to be in the final at Wembley in May.

He said: "We need to improve and score more goals.

"We had a lot of opportunities to score, but need to be more precise [in front of goal]."

However, the Italian insists his squad is strong enough to lead them to European glory.

"The team is fresh," he added.

"It's a good moment for us. The squad is strong enough to win it.

"If we can play to our 100 per cent maximum we have a possibility."
