THERE has been no fall out with senior players like Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard at Chelsea – insists manager Andre Villas Boas.
Lampard is known to be unhappy with the amount of time he is spending on the bench, while rumours surfaced this week of a rift with Cole too.
Accusations of a split with his senior stars have dogged Villas Boas for a while now, but the Blues has denied any in-fighting.
He said: “I have a very good relationship with senior players, and the rumours are not true about Ashley Cole.
“It's the decision of the manager (dropping players) and Frank fully accepts that. It's a difficult one to make, but it's always for the best of the team.
“I have spoken with Frank, but there is nothing to resolve. It was a two-way discussion, and I hope he is here next season.
“There are players who haven't been in the team and I don't expect them to be jumping in the air with excitement, but the club is more important than any individual – whether I have their full backing or part backing doesn't really matter.”
