Charlton boss Karl Robinson has praised Fulham's young Icelandic star Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson after he scored and assisted in the U21s 3-2 defeat on Wednesday night.

Robinson also spoke highly of manager Peter Grant following the game, stating his belief that the Scotsman is one of the best in the business for developing young talent.

Thorsteinsson was the standout player for Fulham U21s as they conceded two late goals to condemn themselves to defeat, but Robinson believes he has a bit about him and made a point of chatting to the youngster after the final whistle.

He said: "I liked him [Thorsteinsson], I said to him that he's got a bit about him and for these young kids it's great for them tonight.

"Their coach has obviously been an assistant manager in the Premier League so for developing young players he's one of the best you get.

"Fulham are known for producing very talent individuals and Thorsteinsson hasn't not been there for long but he's certainly got plenty of talent."
