QPR winger could be off to Sunderland

Junior Hoilett is being eyed by Sunderland and Borussia Monchengladbach - and QPR are looking to offload an out-of-sorts player earning around £50,000-a-week.

The reggae loving midfielder has mostly failed to find his rhythm at Loftus Road after three seasons in which he was relegated twice.

Add to that a third demotion at Blackburn in the campaign before he moved to west London to go with a collection of hamstring injuries, and the 25-year-old has admitted to losing his confidence twice since his arrival.

Reports suggest the Black Cats might have to pay £2.5m for Hoilett, but in the same way Rs cut their losses with Adel Taarabt and his £65k-a-week to Benfica, a similar deal could be struck with a player used mostly as a sub last season making 24 appearances but failing to find the net.

Brentford snub Wigan bid for Grigg

Wigan Athletic have reportedly had a bid of around £700,000 for Brentford striker Will Grigg rejected.

The 24 year old former Walsall forward spent last season on loan at MK Dons and blasted 20 league goals in 31 appearances to help the Dons to promotion, as well a brace two in the Capital One cup win over Manchester United.

The Latics' bid isn't thought to be too far away from the Bees' valuation of the player, but there is a sell on fee in his contract that will see Walsall get around 25 per cent of any fee.

The Northern Ireland international started his off Brentford career well under former Latics boss Uwe Rösler but fell out of form and favour following injuries.

Bryan Luiz leaves Fulham

Fulham last night confirmed that Bryan Ruiz has joined Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 29 year old Costa Rican international striker spent four years at Craven Cottage, scoring just 13 goals in more than 100 games, proving to be far more prolific during a loan spell at PSV Eindhoven last year.

Somewhat bizarrely, for someone who has found goals so hard to come by, Ruiz's new club has inserted a £43million buy-out clause into his contract - but these are customary in Portugal.

Ipswich striker attracts interest from Derby

Derby County are reportedly showing interest in David McGoldrick, striker for Championship rivals Ipswich Town

According to The Sun , the Rams are keen on adding the 27-year-old to their striking options, and the frontman is claimed to be open to the potential switch.

McGoldrick, who was born in Nottingham and has previously represented both Notts County and Nottingham Forest, has a year left on his Town contract.

Brum eye loan move for Arsenal youngster

The Birmingham Mail are reporting that Birmingham City are interested in taking Dan Crowley on loan from Arsenal.

The 17 year old (he’ll 18 in August) shone for the young Gunners last season. Highly rated at the Emirates, the midfield playmaker joined Arsenal from Aston Villa two years ago and has already caught the eye, regularly brought into the first team training.

Crowley, who is from Coventry, has been likened to Gunners and England star Jack Wilshere. He signed his first professional contract with Arsene Wenger’s men in August last year, scoring 10 goals in 29 appearances for various Arsenal youth teams last season.

Wenger rates Crowley, who has represented England at various age group levels, but the teenager’s path to the first team at Arsenal is blocked by an A-list including Wilshere, Mezut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta.
