CB Hounslow United will name a new manager for next season this month, with Frank James standing down to focus on his role as chairman.

James has seen his charges comfortably into the top half of the table this season but needs to step back from football management to oversee the building of the club’s state-of-the-art multi-sport facility.

And United will name someone from within the organisation as their new first team manager.

James said: “I’m giving up managing as I’ve got too much work to do with the club. It was only a two-year project to take the first team and stabilise it.

“I’ve got a management team I’m putting together which will be announced within the next couple of weeks.

“I only promote from within. You’ve got to be in the club for two or three years at least. You’ve got to understand the club.”

James will now work on overseeing the new ground in what will be a landmark step for the club.

He added: “It’s done my head in already and I’ve got to put some time in for that.

“The club is going in the right direction with what we plan for the new ground. The lease is signed from both the council and us.

“It’s the hands of everyone else. The first team won’t be in there until the 2016/17 season at the earliest.”

CB Hounslow travel to face Cobham on Saturday as they look to maintain their four-match winning streak.

Elsewhere in Combined Counties Division One, Bedfont and Feltham host Staines Lammas on Saturday after their 1-0 home win over Walton Casuals on Tuesday night.

In the Combined Counties Premier Division, Bedfont Sports are looking to return to winning ways against Molesey after they were beaten 3-0 away at Knaphill.

Hanworth Villa will be looking to make up for their 6-1 home defeat against Windsor when they travel to Chertsey Town.
