QPR go in 2-1 down at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Matt Smith rose highest to give the Hoops the lead against the run of play, before a defensive mix-up led former-QPR man Junior Hoilett to get the equaliser, before Sol Bamba nodded in a goal to give the Bluebirds the lead.

But who came out on top in our half time player ratings?

Three stars – Matt Smith

Did exactly what was asked of him. Smith has been a real handful all half, giving Sol Bamba plenty to worry about. Cardiff had the better of the player but when Smith had an opportunity he made it count as he rose highest to head the ball into an empty net to give the Hoops the lead.

Two stars - Luke Freeman

Another classy display from Freeman. He shows so much confidence and skill going forward and his cross for Matt Smith’s goal showed excellent vision. What’s equally impressive is his ability to get stuck in and win a challenge against far more combative players.

One star – Darnell Furlong

Has had the difficult task of marking Junior Hoilett who has been excellent so far. He’s coped very well for the most part, making a number of key challenges to keep the winger’s threat to a minimum.
