Canada celebrates it's 150th anniversary from it's confederation today (July 1) and former Fulham favourite Tomasz Radzinski made 46 appearances for his country.

The 43-year-old was born in Poznan, Poland but moved to Canada in 1990 to North York Rockets where he spent three years before joining St Catharines Wolves.

The striker moved to Europe in 1994, joining Ekeren in Belgium where he scored 42 times in 104 appearances.

Anderlecht came calling and he fared even better there, finding the net on 52 occasions, playing just 77 league games.

Everton signed him for a fee of around £4.5million, which was the highest transfer fee for a Canadian at the time.

Tomasz Radzinski shadowed by Luke Young

Radzinski had three years at Goodison Park, scoring 25 Premier League goals in 91 appearances before he joined Fulham in 2004.

While he was not as prolific, the striker did score some crucial goals for the club in his 103 games before he was released by Lawrie Sanchez.

After Fulham he had stints with Xanthi, Lierse and Beveren, making 500 league appearances in his overall career and scored 190 goals.

Radzinski scored 10 goals in 46 games for his country.

On the ball: Paul Peschisolido

Paul Peschisolido also represented Canada during his time at Fulham.

He had four years with the club, scoring 24 goals in 95 league games having previously been with Birmingham (twice), Stoke and West Brom.

Overall, in his career the Ontario born striker scored 10 goals for Canada in 53 appearances for his country and was inducted into the Canadian Soccer Hall of Fame.
