David Stockdale insists he has nothing to prove when he lines up against Fulham tomorrow.

The keeper clocked up 52 appearances during his six-year stay in SW6 before he was sold to Brighton in the summer following relegation from the Premier League.

However, Stockdale says he holds no grudges over his exit and looks back at his time at Craven Cottage with fond memories.

He said: “I only had a year left on my contract and they decided that the money was too good to turn down.

“They have moved on to new horizons and I thank them for everything they did for me. I was there since I was kid and they gave me a chance, so I’ll never forget that.

“I don’t have anything to prove to anyone. I'm more concerned about what I’m doing here.”
