Josh Clarke believes the Brentford squad need to 'come together' after a difficult start to the Championship season.

The Bees are rock bottom after four games, picking up just one point, but their play has merited much more than that.

And the academy graduate knows the club must continue to believe in what they do and keep going and the results will, eventually, come.

He said: “We're working on it. We're dominating games but nothing is happening. We've got to keep going and believe in ourselves. We've got to come together in times like this and hopefully push on.

“It's a rough time right now so we've got to come together, analyse what happened and hopefully push on.”

Clarke was deployed last season as a right back but has been used further forward this year after the signing of Henrik Dalsgaard.

But the 22-year-old doesn't mind where he plays and his focus is on performing well at the club's Jersey Road training ground.

He added: “I couldn't tell you. I'm just keeping my head training well and hopefully something will happen in the end.”
