Brentford take on Bristol City at Griffin Park on Tuesday night as they bid to get off the mark in the Championship.
The Bees were beaten by Sheffield United on the opening day before suffering a 4-3 reverse against Nottingham Forest.
And Dean Smith hinted after the game that changes could be made for the visit of the Robins.
“I have just said to the players that there are shirts up for grabs,” he said. “We have lost the first two games. I don’t think we warranted the two defeats but it is what it is.
“You have to play to the best of your ability to keep the shirt. It is too early to say for Tuesday but maybe conceding four goals we need to change things. I have certainly got the quality to do that.”
