Goal! Bobby Reid levels
Bristol City have stolen a point as Bobby Reid bundles home after a goal mouth scramble.
Nearly a Dan Bentley howler. THere’s a shot from 40 yards that Yoann Barbet turns behind. Fielding is up for the corner. The ball hits his arm and Brentford counter. However, there’s a foul and Maupay can’t score.
There will be EIGHT minutes off added time
Sawyers has a shot deflected that Fielding saves again.
McEachran is given oxygen as he is stretchered off. We will have plenty of stoppage time.
It’s never nice seeing a player being stretchered off and needless to say one idiot in the away end was singing ‘let him die’ at McEachran. The sensible fans tell him to shut up.
A stretcher is coming on for McEachran. They’re putting a leg brace on. Kamo Mokotjo is about to come on.
Josh McEachran is receiving treatment. He seems to be in some pain
Flo Jo replaces Jota
It’s been coming. Neal Maupay finds the net in brilliant fashion; picking out the top corner from 15 yards. Brentford lead
James Paterson booked for dissent
Brentford change: Lasse Vibe is replaced by Neal Maupay
Bristol City changes: Josh Brownhill is replaced by Callum O’Dowda. Famara Diedhiou is replaced by Gary O’Neil
McEachran to Watkins to Jota. Shot - saved by Fielding, who has been Bristol City’s man of the match
More class from Ollie Watkins as he does a 360. He finds Romaine Sawyers but his shot goes wide.
Lasse Vibe is prone to having bad nights and sadly for the Dane this is one of them. He misheads a ball into the box before driving the ball over the bar.
Bobby Reid has a bit of a beef with a Brentford fan. It diffuses quickly.
Bristol City, who have been sitting back since the opening stages, are now on the attack and win a corner. It’s gathered by Bentley
Josh McEachran is into the book for a trip
GOAL FOR BRENTFORD! Ollie Watkins
He’s deserved his goal and Ollie Watkins opens his account in the league for Brentford. A beautiful assist from Jota to be headed home by Watkins.
Harlee tries to drive Brentford forward. His through ball to Lasse Vibe is overhit and gathered.
Yellow card: Yoann Barbet
Josh McEachran sells Yoann Barbet short. He goes in and gets the ball, taking the man as well. He’s booked for the foul.
There are no changes for the Bees
The teams are back out
Half Time: Brentford 0-1 Bristol City
It was defensive errors that cost Brentford on Saturday against Nottingham Forest but, while it was a mishap at the back that put the Bees behind it was the failure to find the net that has really cost the west Londoners so far.
It doesn’t help that Frank Fielding was having one of those nights where he would save everything and, even when he was beaten the post came to his aid.
There are positives, notably the fine performance of Ollie Watkins, to take from this first 45 but it would have a much warmer glow if the Bees had put the ball into the net.
One minute added
FIve minutes until the break
How have Brentford not equalised? Dalsgaard is denied by Fielding and the post.
That’s cynical from Wylde as he bodychecks Barbet. He’s in the book
Brentford are getting closer. Ollie Watkins creates a chance for Lasse Vibe but Fielding saves.
The corner from Jota goes straight out though.
