Brentford welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Griffin Park as they play their game in hand on their rivals in the Championship.

The game comes hot on the heels of the 1-0 defeat to Huddersfield where Rajiv van La Parra's cross ended up in the net via deflections from Harlee Dean and Dan Bentley.

But now, relegation threatened Wolves are the opponents and they will pose a different test to the one faced on Saturday, but a win for the Bees will, all but, secure a fourth year in the second tier.

Ahead of the game, here's some key information.

When and where?

The game is at Griffin Park and kicks off at 7.45pm.

Team news

Brentford: Dean Smith hinted he may shuffle his pack for the game with Nico Yennaris struggling with a calf injury but there are no fresh concerns with Josh McEachran and Andreas Bjelland likely to miss out again.

Wolves: Ivan Cavaleiro could start for Wolves after making his return from injury as a late substitute in Saturday's win over Rotherham.

John Egan

Brentford defender John Egan: “We played Wolves at their place and they were good and organised.

“We expect a tough game against Wolves but we'll believe we can get the win. We've had a good run of results but we need to dust ourselves down and get ready for that.”

Wolves winger Ben Marshall: “This game is massive for us as our game in hand. We need to try and get down there and get what we can.

“It is getting to the point now where there are not many games left and we need to get the results.

“The games come around quickly and before you know it there are only a few left and you need to win.

“The performances here have been good and that gives us hope. I think we have enough quality and getting the win was good for confidence. Hopefully we can take that confidence to Brentford and get another result.”
