Brentford are expected to announce the return of Sergi Canos to Griffin Park today with the 19-year-old set to undergo a medical.
The Spanish winger was a huge hit on loan with the Bees last season, hitting seven goals in 31 games, including a wonder-strike at Reading.
Dean Smith's men were priced out of signing him on a permanent basis last summer, with Norwich City instead landing his signature from Liverpool.
But Canos is surplus to requirements at Carrow Road, having made just three appearances this season, and would welcome a return to the Bees, where he was a popular figure.
Leeds were interested in bringing the Spaniard to Elland Road but the west Londoners appear to have won the race for his signature after they agreed a deal with Norwich.
The Bees signed Florian Jozefzoon at the end of last week after allowing Sam Saunders to join Wycombe. They have also recalled Jota from his loan with Sullay Kaikai departing Griffin Park to return to Crystal Palace.
