Brentford have agreed to cancel the contract of Paul Hayes after reaching a settlement with the out-of-favour striker.
Hayes has managed just six goals in 33 games for the Bees since his arrival on a three-year deal from Charlton Athletic in 2012.
However, the former Scunthorpe frontman has endured a frustrating 18 months at Griffin Park, starting just 10 league matches.
Hayes was shipped out on loan to Crawley Town towards the end of the last season, while the 30-year-old spent a month with League Two outfit Plymouth Argyle earlier this campaign after falling down the pecking order.
But both parties have agreed to terminate his contract in TW8 with immediate effect.
