Scott Hogan believes that if he starts against Nottingham Forest, then he will find the net.

The confident striker has only just returned from 18-months out but is chomping at the bit to become the saviour some Brentford fans want him to be after a trying season.

And he believes that the more minutes on the pitch he has, the more and more goals he will score.

Hogan said: “It's all up to the manager (whether I start or not). I wanted to start against Charlton, QPR and Blackburn.

“Every player wants to start. If the manager wants to start me brilliant and I'll score goals. If I start against Forest, I will score a goal.”

The Bees striker scored inside the first few minutes on his return with the development squad but he believes if he's provided with the chances he'll put them away, but he knows he must not interfere with others' games.

He added: “It's obviously a different level to development squad football. We can create chances and we've got quality players.

“My game is running in behind. I don't want to get into Judgey's (Alan Judge) space for instance. I have to adapt my game to fit in with the squad.”
