Sergi Canos wants to show Norwich fans what sort of player he is as he admitted he has extra motivation going into Friday night's clash.

The popular Brentford forward spent a frustrating six months in Norfolk where he found game time limited.

He returned to Griffin Park in January and was greeted like a returning hero and has been excellent form since returning from injury.

“I am an ex-Norwich City player so, with everything that happened there last season, there is an extra motivation for me,” Sergi told the club's official website.

“I want to show everyone who I am. You can see in all of us that we want to win that game. We are going to try and beat them.”

The Bees and Canaries are both mid-table sides at the moment but Canos believes a winning run can lift them into the play-off race.

“I have always said that the table means nothing,” Canos added. “If you win two games then you are up there and if you lose two games then you are down there.

“Hopefully we can get on another run and win some of the next games.”
