Henrik Dalsgaard is set to miss Brentford's games with QPR and Fulham due to his ongoing heel injury.

The Dane has been out of action since the 2-0 win at Birmingham when a heel injury forced him off.

Dean Smith confirmed last week that it was a similar injury to Lasse Vibe's, although not as bad, but it appears that Dalsgaard will miss the next two fixtures.

“Everybody has come through fighting fit. It'll be a bit too early for Henrik but apart from that we're fine,” Smith said.

“He's back putting a boot on. He feels it very slightly so we're hoping for a week or two.”

Smith will consider making changes after a flat performance against Burton Albion on Tuesday night.

He added: “Players, by not being involved, have probably put themselves in the frame. It's by not playing in a poor performance that gets you noticed.

“A lot of players are willing to show me what they're about in training.

“I'll have a difficult team to pick but I've got a great belief in the quality of the squad we have so should I change a few positions it won't weaken us in any way.”

Smith suggested some of his players were suffering from tired legs on Tuesday night but they have looked sharp on the training ground.

He explained: “The lads have been very bubbly and very bright. We had a good break during the internationals.

“We're looking forward to the games coming up. This is the last week until Christmas where you have midweek games.

“We'd played Saturday Tuesday but have an extended rest by the game being on a Monday night. They certainly don't feel that, 18 games in, they're anywhere near their capabilities.”
