Brentford midfielder Alan McCormack was withdrawn during last night's 2-1 win against Bristol City as a precaution after picking up an ankle injury.
The Irishman limped out of the action midway through the second half and will be assessed by the club's medical team in the next 48 hours.
However, the former Swindon star is confident he will be fit for Saturday's trip to Shrewsbury.
He said: "I put in a tackle and landed on my ankle, so I was struggling to move a little bit. The pitch was getting heavy and the manager decided to take me off.
"It's a bit sore and stiff to walk on at the moment, but I think it will be fine. There's no swelling, which is a good sign."
Harlee Dean and Adam Forshaw are both in line to return for the clash against Shrewsbury after a spell on the sidelines.
