Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods believes the squad have become more resilient as has been proven by their recent run of form.

The Bees are nine games unbeaten and have won their last three games to move within four points of a play-off spot.

In each of their last three wins, the west Londoners have had to deal with a setback be it letting a lead slip as they did against Leeds and Preston (twice) or an injury to a key player as happened to Henrik Dalsgaard at Birmingham.

But they persevered and won all three games and the mood in the camp is excellent, even though there hasn't been much change from August.

“It was always fantastic here even before the nine-game unbeaten run,” Woods told the club's official website.

“We always knew what a good team we were and we always knew that we were going to turn it round.

“We have had a really good week, taking nine points, but we have to make sure that we carry it on now after the international break.

“We have got a resilience about us now which we maybe didn’t have too much of last season. We know that we can go away now and, without maybe playing that pretty football, see out the wins.”
