Ryan Woods echoed the calls of Rasmus Ankersen and Dean Smith and is desperate to see a united Brentford ahead of the new Championship season.
Leicester claimed a surprise Premier League title in the 2015/16 season while, last campaign, Huddersfield earned a shock promotion to the top flight via the play-offs.
The factor that united the two teams was the togetherness exhibited on the pitch and in the stands, which is something Brentford want to foster.
Woods, as well, knows that with such a bond in place, Brentford will be a stronger side and harder to beat over the course of the season.
He said: “This club is a whole. If we want to be promoted, the fans are just important as we are.
“We need them to support us and get behind us as they have done last season and even more.
“We'll always try our best for them and give 100 per cent. We just need that back.”
