Brentford have signed Akaki Gogia from German 3. Liga side Hallescher FC; their first piece of summer business.

The 23-year-old will on a Bosman free transfer after his contract expired.

The Georgian born winger has been capped by Germany at U18 and U19, scoring once for the latter.

He came through the ranks at Wolfsburg and had loan spells at FC Augsberg and St Pauli.

It is expected to be the first of many signings as owner Matthew Benham exerts his influence on the club.

Brentford have also named Rasmus Ankersen and Phil Giles as their co-directors of football.
